Dr. Cheruba Dhanaraj CEO + Inclusion Practitioner & Strategist

Dr. Cheruba A. Dhanaraj, also addressed by her clients and co-workers as Dr. D, is an inclusion practitioner and strategist. Dr. D is of Indian descent and, more specifically, a Tamilian. She is passionate about her work in creating safer psychological spaces for employee engagement. She is a lifelong learner with degrees in human resources management, psychology, counseling, and research and a Ph.D. from Western Michigan University and practices counseling in Michigan.     LEARN MORE>>

Dr. D founded Aasha Human Connections in 2022, an inclusion strategic consulting company based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She and her team (she refers to them as her work friends) at Aasha Human Connections help organizations and leaders looking for tangible and measurable outcomes grounded in an evidence-based, data-driven approach to achieve a culture of trust and employee belongingness.

When not facilitating workshops, Dr. D loves to travel with her husband, Sam – a Michigander in the construction business who is as white as Michigan snow along with their son and dog.

Dr. D has global experience working with diverse cultures in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and North America as an inclusion strategist and cross-cultural consultant. Her expertise includes helping organizations build an inclusive mindset, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy development and alignment, corporate mental health and mental wellness, need/gap analysis, organizational assessment, program design and facilitation of DEI workshops, and 1:1 coaching.
